The Word is Out—People Are Getting the Message!

Fall 2009 Update

A man from Guelph opened his mail one day after work. Among the bills and letters was a Finding the Hope booklet that had been mailed to his home. He was about to throw it out when he heard what seemed like a voice inside him saying, “Don’t do that! This is very important!” He read the material, reflected on its content, and eventually visited a local church that had helped sponsor the campaign. This began a journey that led to his becoming a committed Christ-follower.

Similar stories of life transformation are being told all across Canada as people are hearing the message of the Gospel of Christ through the Finding the Hope campaign!

The Word is out and people are getting the message!

From July to December 2009, EHC has partnered with 59 churches in 67 different communities to lead 26 campaigns. These exciting campaigns, placed over 99,000 copies of the Finding the Hope booklets into homes across Canada.

Here are some of the communities that received the good seed of the Good News:

  • Ontario, Bobcaygeon, Hampton, Little Britain, Elliot Lake, Markham, Fenelon Falls, Port Bolster, St. Thomas and all of Elgin County, Port Perry, Ridgeway, a small portion of Ottawa, and Markstay.
  • Saskatchewan, Osler, a portion of Saskatoon, Langham, Hudson Bay, Strasbourg, Warman, and Glaslyn.
  • British Columbia, a portion of Nanaimo.
  • Alberta, Banff, a small portion of Edmonton.
  • Nova Scotia, Lantz, Wilmot.

Jesus told two parables in the Gospel of Mark about a man who scattered seed. Both parables remind us clearly of two points that are priorities of Every Home for Christ:

  1. That God’s plan for the present kingdom is an age of ‘seed-sowing’.
  2. That God’s Word—His message to humanity—is a seed that must be sown!

This is why Mission 33 – A Campaign of Hope has been instrumental in reaching over 159,000 homes this year and over 227,513 homes since it began in October 2008.

It has been said, “no matter how good a seed might be, it will never be anything but a seed, nor produce anything UNTIL it is sown.

Mission 33 is committing to sowing this precious seed of the Gospel into all of the approximately 12 million homes in Canada. This is an enormous challenge, but one that we believe is very possible!

Your prayer and financial support can help us accomplish this Mission!

The Spirit of God is drawing people to Christ as the seed is sown and the Word gets out!
