Momentum is growing for Finding the Hope campaigns underway before and after Easter in several provinces.
On January 19 the first citywide concert of prayer was held in Moncton NB where over 85,000 homes will be reached. To date, 15 churches are working together to implement a variety of initiatives to mobilize Christians… increase prayer, raise community awareness and plan for ongoing activities following the campaign.
In Brighton, ON, five congregations are working together to present the Gospel to every home in their eastern Ontario community of 11,000 people. The local campaign coordinator reports that the level of cooperation and unity for the project is unique. “There appears to be more connectivity in the ministerial around this campaign than anything in the last seven years.” The campaign team leaders have developed a plan that includes extensive and creative involvement with prayer initiatives, congregational awareness, public awareness, and long term use of special events. Another part of the strategy is to continue using the Finding the Hope theme after the campaign mailing is completed.
In other campaigns, portions of communities will be reached in the following areas: Halifax, NS; Cowansville and Gatineau, QC; London, ON; Southeast SK.
Initial inquiries and follow-up requests for campaigns are arriving at the EHC office every week. It is so gratifying to see Christian leaders across Canada express interest in conducting Finding the Hope campaigns in their communities.
Please join us in praying that believers will be stirred to new levels of commitment to reach the lost. Pray as well that people in across our nation will receive and respond gladly to the message of Hope in Christ as it comes to their homes.
