Across Canada and Around the World! NWT

The Finding the Hope campaign that began in Canada continues to spread across our nation even as it gains momentum globally. People in places far and wide are hearing the message of hope and responding to the love of Christ!

EHC Europe regional Director, Dr. Pierre Clément, reports that over 800,000 Finding the Hope booklets have been printed and distributed in several languages. Recent outreaches have taken place in France, Switzerland and Belgium. EHC offices and local churches are following up on all responses and sending inquirers the 7 Days With Jesus booklet in either French or Flemish versions.  Besides those languages, translations in German, Italian and Spanish are either in progress or completed for both the Finding the Hope booklet and 7 Days With Jesus.

On the home front, new Finding the Hope campaigns are launching this fall in Elliot Lake, ON (led by New Life Pentecostal Church), Stouffville, ON (led by Springvale Church), Lunenburg, NS (led by Calvary Church, Mahone bay, Nova Scotia), and Niagara-on-the-Lake, Queenston, St David and Virgil, ON (led by Orchard Park bible Church in Niagara-on-the-Lake).

Please pray for the leaders and congregations engaged in these outreaches. They need the protection of the Lord every step of the way. Pray also that they would be anointed by the Lord to share the love of Christ and the hope that only He can give.

In Northern Canada, EHC partner Ivan Garnham journeyed to Fort McPherson (Teet’Let Zheh) in the Northwest Territories, to distribute Finding the Hope booklets to every home. This remote community is home to 750 Gwich’in aboriginal people. This extraordinary outreach was assisted by Teet’Let Zheh Christian Fellowship under the pastoral care of Rev. Paul Hanthorn.

Please remember the Gwich’in people in prayer, that the light of Christ’s hope will shine brightly in their minds and hearts. Pray also for Ivan and Pastor Paul, that the Lord will bless them with His protection, guidance and abundant grace as they continue to serve Him in sharing the Good News of Jesus our Saviour.
