Spring 2011

Extensive preparations are in progress and great enthusiasm is building for Finding the Hope campaigns scheduled to launch in late March and early April.

Seventeen churches in Belleville, ON are working together in a citywide campaign to reach over 23,000 homes, beginning on April 4th. Local leaders report that the display of unity and cooperation among so many churches is seen as nothing short of God’s miraculous grace among His people.

Todd Pratt, a local Belleville pastor wrote:

“We have known for years, as a ministerial, that God was going to do something very special in the Quinte region. We have simply tucked it away and said “When Lord?” But we never dreamed of the collective surge that has happened with Finding the Hope. We have already seen God do amazing things; even the interest to be involved in the ministerial has dramatically increased. Then it was also a unanimous decision to go ahead with this initiative, a miracle in itself. We can hardly wait to see what else God has in store.”

Eight churches in Prince Edward County are anticipating good things as they pray and work toward reaching over 9,000 homes in 5 rural communities, beginning March 28th.

These two strategic Gospel outreaches are rich with numerous prayer initiatives, evangelism training sessions, public advertising, and extensive congregational involvement. Both campaigns will conclude at Easter with special Finding the Hope services on Easter Sunday and Good Friday.

Preparations continue with other campaign focus areas. Exact dates are yet to be finalized for this spring in Northern Saskatchewan, Moncton, NB, Wallaceburg, ON, a portion of Scarborough, ON and Beamsville, ON.

Initial communications and planning have begun for Oshawa, Niagara-on-the-Lake, Grimsby, and Acton, ON.

What to pray for:

  • That nothing would hinder the Finding the Hope packets from reaching every home;
  • That people would be prompted to open, read and respond to the message of hope found in Christ alone;
  • That these every home campaigns would be instrumental in uniting many Christians to pray, witness, and support;
  • That God’s special blessing will be experienced at the Prince Edward County Community Good Friday Celebration, April 22 at 7 p.m. at the new Wellington Essroc Arena AND at numerous Finding the Hope Sunday services held in Belleville, ON, April 24th
  • That God will warm the hearts of more and more leadership across Canada with a sense of urgency to reach the lost through this simple but effective every home strategy.
