A number of churches involved in Mission 33 campaigns have experienced encouraging responses. Some churches have planned events around the campaign that resulted in a notable spike in attendance at Sunday special worship services. A number of pastors have also shared how Mission 33 has reawakened their congregation to the joy of sowing the seeds of the Gospel in their community.
A teenage girl in grade nine with no connection to any church was given a Finding the Hope booklet by her teacher. She lived in constant fear at night, being afraid to be alone in her room in her own home. After reading the booklet she then received the follow-up booklet, 7 Days with Jesus. After working her way through both books and praying along with the guidelines given, she excitedly came with an announcement to her schoolteacher who had given her the booklets, “My fears are gone. I am able to sleep!”
Then there is the story of an 80-year-old lady who used the Finding the Hope booklet to lead a fellow resident to the Lord in her retirement home.
Whether young or old, people need to receive the message of hope in Christ. As they do, many respond with new found faith and hope.
